Amanda Ruane’s Lifestyle, Fashion, Portrait Photography Shoot
Amanda’s portrait photography session was amazing! We did this photoshoot in Uptown Dallas, and the weather wasn’t as hot as it has been lately here in Texas.
Amanda is very involved in fitness, and she is a living example of dedication and discipline. She made a goal to change her life by cutting down 70 pounds after she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She really achieved her goal and now looks healthy. Make sure to check out more of her story on her Instagram.
We had a great time during this portrait photography session. Amanda was very fun and easy to work with. She even brought her own full body mirror to make sure we wouldn’t miss any wardrobe malfunction, and also to make sure her outfits would look great on each picture.
Amanda grew up in a Jamaican community, and her husband is from Hawaii, so music and reggae are a huge influence in her life, so we made sure we had a special playlist of her absolute favorite songs playing in the background to make sure she was comfortable during the photoshoot. Amanda was very open to suggestions when it came to poses for the photoshoot. We were supposed to shoot for 60 minutes, and we ended up shooting for almost 2 hours. Time flies by when you are having fun!
I love the final pictures we were able to get from this portrait photography photoshoot.

Hey! I’m Amanda, and I have a passion for life! I was a dancer all my life up until my diagnosis of epilepsy. I gained a lot of weight, had plenty of health scares, and then decided not to take life for granted. I then decided to become an NPC Bikini Competitor and lost 70 lbs to ensure I lived my life to the fullest. I am now two weeks away from my first competition! I am also an entrepreneur and owner of 2 chiropractic practices and a local gym. I am obsessed with animals and nature and make every excuse to travel and will literally try anything new!
